Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Last Light mobile application and related features (collectively, the "App"). The App is provided by Sideacre LLC ("we," "us," or "our").

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What Last Light Does

Last Light helps users estimate remaining hunting hours from information they provide, including location, date, selected rule or offset, and hunt-planning inputs. The App may also display sunrise and sunset information, help plan departure times, let you record notes and history for your own hunts, provide optional reminders, and show related information on supported device surfaces such as widgets or Live Activities.

The App is a planning and reminder tool only. It does not replace official hunting regulations, legal advice, safety training, field judgment, or guidance from wildlife agencies.

2. Hunting Regulations and User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for knowing, verifying, and following all applicable laws, rules, regulations, seasons, licensing requirements, weapon restrictions, location restrictions, species-specific rules, and hunting hours for every hunt.

The App may estimate hunting hours from sunrise, sunset, location, zip code, and rules, offsets, or other inputs you select or provide. These estimates may be incomplete, outdated, incorrect, or different from the rules that apply to your hunt.

Before hunting, you must verify all times and regulations with the official wildlife agency or other lawful authority for your location and hunt.

3. No Legal, Safety, Navigation, or Emergency Advice

The App does not provide legal advice, regulatory advice, safety advice, emergency services, navigation services, land ownership verification, mapping services, weather warnings, or law-enforcement guidance.

4. Location, Zip Codes, Times, and Device Settings

The App may use your device location, a saved zip code, device time, time zone, and user settings to estimate sunrise, sunset, and hunting hours. Accuracy can be affected by GPS availability, zip code data, settings, device clock or time zone errors, software bugs, operating system behavior, regulations, and jurisdictional boundaries.

5. Reminders, Notifications, Widgets, and Live Activities

Optional reminders, notifications, widgets, and Live Activities are not guaranteed. Delivery, display, timing, and accuracy may be affected by device settings, notification permissions, Focus modes, low power mode, background execution limits, connectivity, operating system behavior, or other factors outside our control.

6. User Settings and Local Data

The App may store selected hunting-hour rules, saved zip code, recent coordinates, hunt plans, hunt notes, stand names, notification settings, and onboarding status on your device.

We do not operate a server that stores your hunt plans or hunt notes, and the App has no account system. Local data is not backed up to us, and it may be lost if you delete the App, reset your device, or your device fails. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and reviewing App settings before relying on them.

7. Advertising and Third-Party Services

The App may display advertisements through third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob. Third-party services may collect or process information, including device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location, usage data, diagnostics, advertising interaction data, and related information for ad delivery, fraud prevention, measurement, analytics, and, where permitted, personalized advertising, under their own terms and privacy policies.

The App also sends automatic crash and error reports to a third-party crash reporting service so we can find and fix problems. See the Privacy Policy for what those reports contain and what is removed from them before they are sent.

We are not responsible for third-party services, advertisements, websites, content, products, or data practices. Your use of third-party services may be subject to additional terms.

9. Minors

The App is not intended for children under 13. Minors should use the App only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian and only where they are legally permitted to hunt or assist with hunting activities.

10. Intellectual Property

The App, including its name, design, text, graphics, software, features, and other content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

11. App Store Terms

If you download the App from the Apple App Store, your use of the App is also subject to Apple's applicable terms, including Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a custom license agreement is provided for the App.

12. Updates and Availability

We may change, update, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. We may also change these Terms from time to time.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or error-free.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses related to your use of or inability to use the App.

15. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your hunting activity.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that creates risk or legal exposure. You may stop using the App at any time.
